"The expectation of each student that comes to this school is to either go to college, or upon graduation, become a valuable part of our society."

About Us Education Realized will provide an excellent education to every student attending our institutions. An integral component of the Education Realized program is to centralize the students’ environment in a location where learning and living are continuous and simultaneous. Thus each Education Realized facility will be a boarding school that provides for all of the various needs of our students.  The entire community—instructors and staff included—will live and work together on school grounds fostering a sense of pride, mutual respect and responsibility for the academy.

Initially Education Realized will develop academies that serve high school students.  As operations expand, academies will become available at the middle school level, preparing students for a transition to both traditional and Education Realized high schools.  Though Education Realized will not discriminate, the school's main focus is African-American youth who, by and large, are not afforded the same access to academic programs of the highest quality compared to students from other backgrounds.

In order to provide each student with the best education available, Education Realized relies heavily on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations and other organizations to provide funding.  Tuition fees will be flexible taking into consideration the income level of the parent/guardian household, allowing for some families to qualify for waived or reduced tuition. Despite our emphasis on serving low-income students, our institutions will be uncompromising in providing the most knowledgeable, creative, innovative, and inspiring faculty along with the best facilities and resources for learning. Classroom environments will be safe, nurturing, and state of the art.  At Education Realized academies, arts, athletics and other extra-curricular activities will constitute an integral part of the students’ daily experience.  Our goal is to provide a comprehensive learning institution where the development of all abilities and talents of our student body are promoted and supported.

The school will have very strict academic standards and high expectations for the students.  At Education Realized academies we are committed to graduating students that not only are competitive with their peers from other institutions, but exhibit superior academic, artistic, athletic and social ability.  The students, faculty, and staff will work cohesively to achieve distinction in all they do.

Education Realized academies promote the same standards for excellence in our living communities that we do in our classrooms. We do this by emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and civility in our dormitories in addition to respect for the well-being of the community as a whole. Moreover, though our academic and extra-curricular programs are coed, the living quarters will be single-sex.  Parents can be assures of their child’s safety as there will be a state of the art security system and security staff on campus 24 hours a day.

One of the highlights of our comprehensive and innovative curriculum is the senior project—known as The Capstone—which each graduating student will complete.  The Capstone is service-oriented course allowing students an opportunity to "give back" to their community and the institution.  Each senior will develop a functional program that will strengthen the immediate community or an underprivileged community of their choice.  Each Capstone will be given a budget to assist in development and execution of the plan upon its approval.  Students will be graded on the effectiveness of their program, how well they manage the resources provided, and other criteria specific to their project.  Education Realized believes The Capstone will continue the success of students beyond the academic curriculum and be a tangible representation to communities around the country of how students are able to apply classroom skills and knowledge to the "real world." It will also serve to promote our desire that each student graduate with a sense of solidarity with society at large and remain mindful that with the opportunity they have been afforded comes the responsibility to serve others who are less fortunate.

Education Realized expects each student to either go to college or immediately become a valuable, contributing member of the community. Though every graduate will be fully prepared to achieve any level of education they desire, we recognize that undergraduate and graduate programs may not be for every person. Whatever the graduate’s goal, our academies provide an opportunity for all students to become productive citizens of our increasingly complex and close world.

Education Realized is a unique, innovative concept designed to revolutionize the delivery of education in America.  As the richest country in the world—and one premised on equality—America has failed in its duty to educate all people equally, and to educate them well. Education Realized offers an exciting alternative to a failing system. We encourage you to join the future of education—where high-quality education is a reality for everyone.
